In wet shaving, it’s always the "little big things" that make the difference between a chore and a ritual. For this collaboration with Frank Shaving, I wanted to create a brush that offers a high-end, luxury experience without the high-end price tag. I wanted the handle to feel classic, yet somehow modern.
We chose a 22mm Manchurian Silvertip knot for the Core Line for a very specific reason: flow-through and accessibility. This is genuine, unbleached, and uncut badger hair sourced from the coldest regions of Northeast China. It provides that legendary "Manchurian" backbone that I love, paired with naturally soft tips that feel incredible on the face.
By keeping the Core Line knot at 22mm—with a strategic amount of fibers packed into it—we ensured the brush releases lather efficiently rather than "hogging" it, while keeping the cost reachable for everyone. Whether you’re a wet shaving veteran or just starting your journey, this brush is designed to be a workhorse in your den. When it comes to natural, authentic Manchurian Badger, the fibers in this brush truly have no equal.
